Have you heard of POKÉMON: Detective Pikachu movie? It’s coming to theaters on May 10, 2019, and is directed by Rob Letterman. It is produced by Warner Bros Pictures, Legendary Pictures, and The Pokémon Company. It is a live-action/animated movie, which means that there are real actors as well.

It is a film adaptation from a Pokémon: Detective Pikachu game, which was released on Nintendo 3DS in 2016.

The movie is not about “catching Pokemons” (in a nutshell) like it was in anime or games. It’s about what the title says – Pikachu is a detective.
Private detective Harry Goodman disappears mysteriously. His 21-year old son is trying to find him. And here comes Pikachu to help in the investigation.
I’m not gonna tell anything else about the movie’s plot, see it yourself soon.

The action of Detective Pikachu takes place in Ryme City – a big modern metropoly, where Pokemons and humans live together.

Production company Legendary Pictures already confirmed that Pikachu Detective sequel is in the works.
