What Do You Do When Left on Read?
Today's forecast for your phone: gray skies over the chat window, with a ninety percent chance of 'Read 2:14 p.m.' appearing under your last message and staying there all afternoon. Expect scattered overthinking by early evening, followed by heavy screenshotting and isolated outbreaks of typing and deleting. A cold front of petty silence is moving in from the west. Keep a group chat nearby for emergencies.
Being left on read is one of the few experiences everybody shares. We have all stared at those two tiny gray words, and we all react a little differently. Some people open a full investigation, complete with timestamps and a second opinion from three friends. Some send another text, then a meme to soften the second text, then a third text apologizing for the meme. Some play the long game and reply exactly four hours and one minute later. And a lucky few never notice at all, because their phone is sitting in a gym locker.
This quiz asks fifteen questions about stories, follow-ups, suspicious 'haha' replies and your read receipt settings, then tells you which type you are. Go ahead and take it. We promise not to leave you on read.
