What Role Would You Play in a School Musical?

NOW HIRING: cast and crew for the spring school musical. Position requirements: must be available every afternoon for eleven weeks, must tolerate the smell of fresh paint and old costumes, must be able to sing, dance, or at least stand very still in the background holding a cardboard tree. Compensation: one bouquet from a relative, a cast party with lukewarm pizza and memories that will haunt your group chat for decades. Drama teacher may cry at random. This is normal.

Every school production runs on the same four personalities. There's the lead, who knows every line by week two and everybody else's lines by week three. There's the sidekick, who has eleven words of dialogue and somehow gets the loudest applause. There's the stage manager in the headset, calmly running the whole show from a dark corner with a clipboard and a flashlight. And there's the villain, who got the best song, the best cape and the most fun.

So which part would the casting sheet give you? Answer fifteen questions about rehearsals, stage fright, costume disasters and what you'd do if the curtain got stuck. Warm up your voice, find your mark and take the quiz.
