Which Decade’s Prom Look Would You Rock?

Two stars. I ordered this prom dress in 1987 and it arrived with sleeves the size of hot air balloons. My date's tuxedo came with a ruffled shirt he called "a statement." My hair was so big it blocked the photographer's view of three other couples. Would not recommend. Update: looked at the photos again. Five stars. It was perfect. I would wear it tomorrow.

Every decade has its prom look, and every one of them seemed like a great idea at the time. The fifties brought pastel tulle, corsages and very supervised slow dancing. The seventies arrived in shimmering polyester and platform shoes that added four inches and one twisted ankle. The eighties went bigger on everything, especially the hairspray. The nineties dialed it all down into slip dresses, butterfly clips and an attitude of mild boredom.

Which decade would you have owned? Answer fifteen questions about dance moves, dates and photo poses, and we'll match you with the prom era made for you. Corsage optional, crepe paper decorations mandatory, chaperone watching from the punch bowl.
