Which Fishing Style Matches Your Personality?

Gary picked his fishing style the way he picked everything: carefully, with a spreadsheet. Six in the morning, mist on the lake, a thermos of coffee and a brand-new rod that cost more than his first car. He'd read four books on fishing. He referred to his lures by their Latin names, which isn't a thing, but Gary insisted.

For three hours he cast, waited and cast again. Nothing. Not a nibble. On the dock beside him, an eight-year-old with a bent stick, a piece of string and half a hot dog had already caught five fish and was giving each of them a name.

At ten o'clock, Gary finally felt a tug. He reeled it in with shaking hands. It was a boot. The kid looked over, nodded at the boot with great respect and said it was the biggest one anybody had caught all summer.

Gary has the boot mounted on his wall now. He tells people it put up a fight.
