Which Historical Invention Are You?

Welcome to Gallery Four. Please press 7 on your audio guide. On your left, behind the velvet rope you are leaning on, you'll see a wooden wheel roughly five thousand years old. Scholars believe it changed everything. Its inventor received no credit, no royalties and, we assume, many complaints from people who preferred dragging things. Please do not touch the wheel. The wheel has been through enough.

History is full of inventions that quietly rearranged human life. The printing press turned books from rare treasures into something you can spill coffee on. The magnetic compass told sailors where north was, which saved countless ships and ended a lot of arguments about directions. The telephone let people talk across cities, and later gave us the awkward pause before someone says "okay, well, bye."

Every person has an invention hiding in their personality. Maybe you're dependable and quietly essential. Maybe you can't stop sharing ideas. Maybe you always know which way to go, or you simply need to talk to somebody, right now, about something. Answer fifteen questions and discover which brilliant creation you would be in the museum. The gift shop is to your right.
