Director's treatment, draft three. Open on you. Slow motion. Wind machine at full power for no clear reason. Cut to a close up of your eyes, then to a car driving through a desert, then to a room full of balloons. The budget is either zero or several million. We haven't decided. The label says keep it moody but fun, which is the note every music video has ever received.
Here's the pitch. Everyone has a music video aesthetic that lives in their head while they walk to the bus with headphones on. Maybe yours is shiny chrome and inflatable furniture from the Y2K era, glitter on every surface. Maybe it's a rain soaked ballad on a rooftop, black and white, with a single dramatic hair flip. Maybe it's neon VHS synthwave, palm trees, grainy tape and sunglasses at night. Or maybe it's a camcorder in a bedroom, fairy lights, a cat and a friend holding the camera sideways.
Fifteen questions on outfits, locations, lighting and dance moves will reveal which one you are. We'll roll camera when you're ready. Hit your mark and remember to look past the lens like it owes you closure.
