What Type Of Learner Are You?

Do you get frustrated when knowledge can’t enter your head right away? Learning is a huge challenge for you, and despite your efforts, you are often not rewarded with a good enough grade anyway? Or do you just have a way of learning new things and remembering everything with ease? It all depends on what type of learner you are!

School age is governed by its own rules. Each of us has been or is currently a student at some school. As everyone is well aware, students are divided into better and slightly weaker ones. Some try to get as much information as possible from lessons, taking extensive notes. They are anxious that the knowledge they obtain will be useful later in their adult life and that they will be able to use it in the most varied ways. After all, no one needs to explain that good academic performance results in getting a well-paid job in the future.

There is probably a group of students in your class who don’t particularly care about achieving high grades on tests. Most of the time, they interfere with the teacher’s lesson, don’t keep even the smallest amount of class notes, and come to school to socialize. Are you such a class troublemaker? Or do you rather not make the teachers’ lives miserable? If so, you’d better apply yourself to your studies so you don’t repeat the year.

Types Of Learners

If you’re a student who cares about learning, you probably won’t be surprised to learn that knowledge is acquired in several ways. Depending on the method chosen, students are divided into:

  • Visual
  • Kinesthetic
  • Auditory
  • Reading/writing

Visual Learner

Visual learner remembers most quickly when he sees something. Taking notes on his own also helps him a lot. Creating flashcards with passwords will help him learn faster. The most satisfying thing for him is that he can observe something or read on his own while learning. They can’t focus on a particular thing when there is disorder around them. Visual learners are very careful about cleanliness and order because a slight deviation from the norm can significantly worsen their mood. They don’t feel comfortable then. The best learning method for a visual learner is to create a mind map, tables, charts, presentations, and diagrams.

Auditory Learner

Auditory learner absorbs knowledge best when someone is talking. He doesn’t have to create practically inches of notes because he remembers exactly what someone said. Listening to audiobooks or interviews consolidates his knowledge. They don’t stress during oral statements because they enjoy this form of testing their knowledge. They enjoy being able to say something in their own words. Reading aloud also doesn’t give them any trouble and, in fact, makes it easier to remember. Creating rhymes or poems can also be helpful. Because of their style of being, they are well-liked in the company, and everyone enjoys listening to what they have to say.

Kinesthetic Learner

The kinesthetic learner acquires knowledge most quickly through touch and movement. An easy way for him to remember is if he can do something on his own. Unlike a visual learner, he doesn’t like to write and even gets easily frustrated when doing so. When performing tasks, he can seem nervous because he has very rich gestures and moves all the time. Kinesthetics can be recognized by the fact that most of the time, his hands are occupied, for example: by a pen, squish, or pencil. Behavior that helps him memorize may disturb the harmony of others. A kinesthetic learner has rather blurred handwriting.
